Each conflict is different, but as a general principle, we should be investing in solutions that avoid the use of force.
1) Affordable Housing - I would utilize existing grant programs and work with federal departments to ensure the criteria for these programs fits Hawaii's housing needs. 2) Infrastructure - I would utilizing existing grant programs and seek additional funding for critical infrastructure - grid modernization, sewers, roads and other forms of transportation. I would support a higher tax on the most wealthy in our country. 3) Protecting our environment, reestablishing our climate agreements and reducing carbon emissions.
